Meet the Team

 

Josh Unruh

President

After completing his education and basketball career at St. Mary’s College of California, and a brief coaching stint at the University of Oregon, Josh started his sports marketing endeavors with the Portland Trailblazers. After four years there, he assisted with the sales, marketing, and fundraising efforts for the Oregon Classic, one of the PGA Tours Nationwide Tour stops in the northwest.

In the summer of 2007 he became a partner in a company that specialized in athletic equipment and apparel. It was during this time that the idea for Wears My Shirt was formulated. His passion for helping raise funds for charities and people who help people, led him to exploring an innovative way to not only raise funds, but to communicate awareness for individual causes.

Josh’s love of family and friends is apparent in everything he does.

 

Bryon Sheng

Director of Sales

Bryon has worked for over 20 years in the footwear and apparel industry. He has held various positions with Nike, adidas, and And 1. In 2008, Bryon departed adidas to become a partner in the boutique brand, Undrcrwn overseeing it's sales responsibilities.

With a passion for the game of basketball, Bryon is a high school coach at St. Mary's Academy and founded the non-profit organization, Oregon Reign in 2004. Oregon Reign is a girls basketball program that focuses on utilizing the game as an avenue to teach life lessons. Bryon and his wife, Kimberlee have been married for 19 years. They have two children.

 

Michael G. Ingram

Creative Director

Michael has been a writer, director, producer, composer and media professional for 18 years. After graduating from Kent State with a BFA in Rhetoric, he moved to Los Angeles to begin his entertainment career. He has extensive experience in all aspects of creative productions in feature film, long format television and documentary, as well as TV spots and PSA’s. From MTV to N.A.S.A., Michael’s campaigns have won numerous international awards in excellence. In addition to helping brands, products, and companies, Michael has a strong commitment to working with organizations that bring positive impact to the world. This includes extensive work on the environment, education, healthcare and wildlife preservation.

Once blessed with the first of two children he and his wife made the move to a more civilized society. Portland was a natural migration.

 

Marcia Lansdown

New Initiatives/Development Director

Marcia has over 20 years experience working in both the non-profit and private sector.  She was the Associate Director of ECO, an environmental organization and Arnold Schwarzenegger's Foundation, the Inner City Games.  She spent the next 12 years as the Director of Talent at E! Entertainment Television.  She found that working on E!'s social responsibility campaigns is what excited her most.  She is an advocate of Fair Trade and Foster Care.  Her volunteerism is diverse from working in a Cambodian Orphanage to being a Big Sister to trapping feral cats for spay and neuter.  She is happy to be working with a company whose mission is aligned with her passions.

Marcia graduated from State University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelors Degree in Communication

 

John Jendritza

Design and Strategic Partner

With over 15 years of design, branding and marketing experience for both global and regional brands, John brings a comprehensive strategic and creative skill-set to the team. He has helped launch campaigns for companies such as Nike, Hush Puppies, Target and Intel, but he doesn't let name recognition overshadow his willingness to seek out smaller companies or individuals that might need help as well. He appreciates the opportunity to share his talents and expertise whenever possible. John owns and operates Glow Creative, a design studio in Portland, Oregon.

In between web launches and marketing campaigns, John and his wife wrangle two small children with an even smaller dog. Camping, restaurants and swimming are what they do best.

 

Chris Sears

Social Media Director

Chris will graduate Class of 2012 from Portland State University majoring in both Marketing and Advertising. He is a USAF veteran with two tours in the Middle East during OIF/OEF as a C-17 Crew Chief. He enjoys watching and playing basketball and is a huge Portland Trail Blazer fan. His passions include cooking, camping, hiking, cars, athletics, computers, movies, and social media. Family and friends take center stage in his life and he’s always looking for ways to help people in need, those who have fallen down or just strayed from their path and need some help back on it. He’s thrilled to be part of the WMS team, and looks forward to growing the company through fresh perspectives and newly acquired skills.

 

Erin Sorenson

sugarlump Designer

Erin has been creating her sugarlump characters since she was eight. Now a mother of two, the characters have even more fun significance. They help teach her kids the importance of giving back no matter how small they are. That’s why she loves working with wears my shirt and designing to make a difference. In addition to graphic design, Erin loves writing children's books with her kids and has published one of her own. Erin’s grown up clients have included Nike, EA Sports, Target, Starbucks, California baby, and brand design for many women-owned start-ups.

 

Chris Carmichael

Project Development

Chris is the President of Surfperch Communications, a strategic development firm based in Southern California.

Chris works closely with charity directors and corporations to help launch creative programs, and collaborates with the Wears My Shirt team to make these programs compelling.

Chris graduated from Southern California College (now Vanguard University) in 1995 and worked at Intel. Three years later, he started his own company and has worked for a wide variety of clients in various roles. His project portfolio includes Soles4Souls, Tommy Bahama, adidas, Nautilus, Oregon Food Bank and Connie Elder International, among others.

Chris and his wife, Jami, have three sons: Jackson, Cole and Hudson. They live in Orange County, California. Chris loves to golf, float on the Deschutes River and fish with his family.

 

Lindsay Bell

Web Development

Lindsay started working IT for Napa Valley wine businesses in 1989, building computer network software installations, corporate education for desktop applications, and building and maintaining computer networks for clients such as Domain Chandon, St. Supery, and Cordoniu. From 1992-1993 Lindsay started working in the music industry for clients such as Corrado Rustici and Jon Farris. Lindsay also built studios for producers, musicians, and The Tonight Show.

In 1994 Lindsay began working with database development and desktop application development for financial services. In 1995 Lindsay started building web base data base applications for extranets and intranets. Clients included Synth-Bank, Frank Russell Company, Lotus, Adobe, and Microsoft. For the next seven years Lindsay worked in advanced tech studios developing multi media rich application until he formed Darkwater Studios in 2002 where he serves as the owner and chief architect.

 

Kate McPike

Graphic Artist in Residence

Kate has a AA in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Seattle. She is currently balancing her time and talents between the rigorous demands of a Graphic Design degree at P.S.U., and assisting the WMS team with a variety of photo and graphic enhancement support. Kate loves to spend her free time hiking, climbing and just relaxing with friends and family. Her passions extend beyond academic world through her love and support of numerous charities and NPO's. Ah to be young!

 

Amy Richter

Director of Communications

For 15 years, Amy has been involved with strategic corporate marketing - 10 of which were spent working for adidas America managing all catalog production as well as multiple international marketing initiatives.   In 2008, she decided to step out on her own and founded Blend Marketing; an independent, full-service marketing firm specializing in marketing plan development, print production and material sourcing.  Throughout her career, Amy has lent her marketing expertise to numerous charitable organizations including Salud, The American Cancer Society and Camp Ukandu.  Amy and her husband are both Portland natives and have two beautiful children.
